Teeth Grinding
Restless african american man waking up with headache

Most patients aren’t aware of clenching or grinding their teeth, but the damage caused can be disastrous.

Do you wake up with a headache?

This can be an early warning sign that you have been clenching your teeth in your sleep. Other things you might notice are a stiff neck, chipping of the front teeth or sensitivity with hot or cold food and drinks. The cost to repair worn teeth from grinding can be high both time-wise and financially, so early detection and prevention is critical to keep your teeth in good condition long term.

Crowns
Happy loving family.

Crowns are not just for royalty, but not everyone requires them. Crowns are used in dentistry for various reasons, maybe your tooth has been cracked, had a root canal treatment or a big filling that has weakened the tooth significantly. A crown is like a hat that sits over your whole tooth to prevent further loss of your natural tooth structure. We make our crowns in all ceramic which eliminates the dark bands that come with older style crowns. We use advanced digital dentistry to ensure your crown is a perfect fit. Traditionally crowns take two weeks to be made, but in most cases we can make and fit them in the same day.

Sleep Apnoea

Keeping your partner awake?

Do you wake up tired?

Sleep apnoea is when you stop breathing during the night – perhaps not noticeably or enough to wake you up, but it floods your brain with stress hormones, meaning you wake up un-rested and these hormones are long acting and may cause difficulty when trying to fall asleep the next night.

Sleep apnoea does require a sleep study to diagnose, but if left untreated can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. It is also linked with migraines.
